Trying new things

Sunday, March 11, 2007
First I have to tell you all about a wonderful new website I have happened upon. It is called Heart in Hand Scraps. I am so loving it there. The owner is such a wonderful person. So if you get a minute you must stop by and check out her site.
Also I have quit teaching for awhile. Things have been crazy so it was better health wise for me to be home until life gets back to normal and under control. But I do have something really cool in the works I can hardly wait to announce. So keep checking back for the big announcement.
Lastly I thought I would upload a few photos of my latest LO's. I even attempted my very first sketch. It is so nice to be finally catching up with everyone.

Finally an Update for the New Year!!!!!

Saturday, March 10, 2007
Okay I know it has been forever since I updated my blog but a ton has happened. Of course I had the puppies which thankfully all sold and were gone before Christmas. Then we had the holidays and before I knew it, we were celebrating Valentine's Day. So yes I am a very BAD Blogger. The family is doing well. Devan played her first season of basketball and did okay. The league is kind of lax but at least she tried it. We are now in T-ball and Softball season. I always dread softball season because of all the politcs involved. Well I hope all is well and I will defintiely be back to update more on Monday.

PUPPIES

Wednesday, November 01, 2006
Well Tanna had her puppies on Friday night. I was about seven days too early in my estimation so of course I was not prepared. Especially coming home from dinner to one already born. Anyhow she had ten total. Four black females, two yellow females, one yellow male and two white males (who are the total replica's of Dakota). Her birth went great. All puppies were born alive and in a timely manner. Then the second night we lost the smallest black female and on the fourth night we lost another black female. But the others are all thriving well. They are the cutest electric gate ever. I have a goal in mind that when all are sold I want to purchase an electric gate, LOL. It also helps keep me from getting overly attached. I am including a photo of the puppies (all of them) at a day old and a photo I took today which was five days old. Hope you all enjoy!

Scrapbook Answers

Got this from one of my email groups. I am so sad!
For those of you who sub or were considering subbing to this magazine, read the following. I just found out about this on a message board....sad! I really like this magazine!
I really wish it was a rumor. It's a very sad day for us at Scrapbook Answers. If you want to let people on the message board know, you are welcome to post this reply, including my name.
We found out today that our company, Future Inc., is closing Scrapbook Answers. Unfortunately, it was a decision that was arrived at based on the overall company's financial situation and recent changes in the overall company business strategy. It's not in any way a result or reflection of Scrapbook Answers' success or our reception in the market. Scrapbook Answers has been as successful as we had hoped, meeting all newsstand sales goals since our launch, and growing our subscriber base in the first year much faster than we anticipated. Not to mention the fact that Scrapbook Answers is a wonderful, useful, good-looking magazine that our readers adore. Sadly, this means that November 2006 marks the last issue of Scrapbook Answers. As you can imagine, it was a very sad, really terrible, day here at the office. All of the SBA editors and art team poured their hearts into this magazine, not to mention working so hard to make it the absolute best publication we possibly could. We couldn't have done it without the wonderful groundswell of reader support and positive reception.

New Layout

Sunday, October 01, 2006
Just completed this Layout. I did this as an example for the final Scraptathalon challenge for the safe. The LO challenge was to create a LO using another LO as your inspiration. I used the LO on the cover of this months CK. I really like the clean and simple lines of it all. I just added my own spin to it by changing it up to match what I wanted to do. I used the new Scenic Route paper line Cape Cod for the papers. This is also a new one for me as I really played with color on this one. I used colors together I never would have used before. It was alot of fun.
